This class will cover all the information that you will require to be able to use liquid yeast cultures in your brewery or home brews. The class will be a mixture of theory and practical. The class will be in English though there will be translators available. PREREQUISITE: ++Basic brewing knowledge and experience required. ++Basic mathematics required. +++Basic English language skills will be an advantage in order to get the most out of the class. Topics covered: -Why use liquid yeast? -Equipment required + where to get it -Basic microscope training -Aseptic environment basics -Yeast handling practices -How to reuse your yeast -Vitality testing -Yeast dilutions -Yeast cell counting and viability testing -Calculating the amount of liquid yeast required for your beer -Yeast storage and management -Yeast propagation Materials will be provided, just bring a note book and pen.
